"The Din Grogu Question Swarm!"

Be advised: Do NOT ask questions if you are not prepared for a barrage of answers, flooding your inbox and overwhelming your droid staff!

This past week, I was taking a group of orphans on a tour of the Government buildings on Alderaan III. I own an orphanage on my home planet of Tanaab. It has always been my dream to have a series of Orphanages all ofver the galaxy, to provide for the orphans that have to fend for themselves in this dangerous universe. So, from time to time, I am able to arrange a trip for them to leave the farm and come out and see some other cultural things.

We were passing through a gallery of portraits and artifacts of historical nature, when one of the children pointed out a statuette that was of interest to them. Reading the plaque, I saw it was of Din Grogu. I had heard of this particular personage, here and there (orphans are of interest to me) but then, Grogu was not an orphan for very long. (although 50 years seems long to certain species)

That day, I asked if anyone knew of this person from their history books and most did. Then I asked if anyone had any questions. And oh, the questions they had!

"How old was Din Grogu?"

"Is Grogu Yoda?"

"Is it Din Grogu or Grogu Din?

"Isn't it Gunga Din?"

I held up my hands for silence and tried to answer them.

"I am not sure how old Grogu was in the end, but he was 50 when he was adopted. Or 51. Somewhere around there. The legendary Yoda was someone else. Grogu was simply of the same species. It is Din Grogu and I don't know who Gunga Din is, but he sounds like a Gungan."

After that, we spoke for a bit about adoption and how even if you have people chasing you and it seems like you're the last of your kind, and that you're on your own - it's possible to find a loving family and a purpose.

It was a bit strange, but encouraging all the same.

I hope that this small encounter helped to show the children the possibilities that are out there for them, if they persevere and attend to their Force studies (if they have it) and hold onto loyalty.

I would like to study Grogu more and his species. There seems to be a strange lack of information there. I imagine that there is something in the Holocron Hall - perhaps in the lower levels about this. Surely Senator Jayce would let us take a look at it. Or that he would look it up himself and then share it with us.

My thanks to the Children of my Home Farm for directing my attention to Grogu and how he can help us to improve our lives. And my thanks to Grogu for being such an example.

I just need to find a way to slow down the questions to one at a time!
