Let me introduce you to the latest self-help series of seminars that have been sweeping the galaxy - and for a fair price!

 

I wonder if one can call a series of seminars led by a teacher or leader a 'SELF help' series? Whether you can or not, we will! An up and coming, Kaminoan motivational speaker, Nole Lei, has been leading seminars all over the mid rim planets and with impressive success. 

 

Their theme is "BE the Cortosis in Your Life"

In order to understand this, you must first have a working knowledge of Cortosis and what it is. A rare metal found on only two planets (so far) that is both incredibly strong and amazingly delicate. It can be broken easily, yet is one of the only substances to be able to deflect lightsabers and energy blasters! 

How is this possible? 

 

It is ENERGY that it deflects, and brute strength that it crumbles before. So it can protect from weapons that nothing else can, while a simple blow can send it reeling. It is said that Cortosis is woven into the armor of Mandelorians. When this metal is combined and added to other things, it becomes very strong and a perfect armor. 

 

So the seminars are all about how alone, our strengths may be brittle or lacking, but they are still important and useful, unique and beautiful and once woven together with others and with the knowledge and experience that we obtain, we can be unstoppable!

 

So I hear. I haven't attended the seminars myself. Yet. 

The fee is 350 credits a seminar and there are 5 seminars in total. You can attend one or all of them, it doesn't matter. A bit pricey, but most of these sorts of things are REALLY expensive, even 2,000 credits a seminar! This one, on Cortosis as a metaphor, is much more reasonable in comparison. 

 

I like that it is empowering, and I reccommend this sort of thing to anyone who needs some encouragement in their life. However - I add a caution. Often, these things are a scam. There is no evidence that this one on Cortosis is, but just like Cortosis can be strong or weak, so could this be empowering or destructive. Make sure that you are careful with our credits and your trust.. 

As long as you are careful, I see no reason why this can't be a wonderful thing! 

Go with friends and make a weekend out of it! Celebrate the conclusion with a wonderful meal at The Vine, the new restaurant hub and share with each other all that you've learned.
