"Darth Bane Rises Again?"

After my trip to the Moons of Korriban last week, I ended up having a - unique experience.

We stopped at a small spacestation to refuel and grab some lunch (I admit, I was tired of the Ration packs we had in the ship, for long distance travels)
and it was while we were at a small cafe, enjoying some fruit jellies and fresh portion bread that we saw flyers that made my jaw drop.

These flyers stated that someone named 'Taye' was in possession of none other than Darth Bane's sarcophogus and was charging admission to go see it and speak with Darth Bane's own ghost, and get their fortunes told!

Well - there was so much wrong about this that I was spluttering and accidentaly spraying my guard with fruit jelly!

I insisted that we go at once to find this 'Taye' and discover what he was up to. If he had somehow stolen the Dark Lord's resting place from Moribond, that was a strike against him (yet most impressive, as I didn't see how he could have done it) - then, to charge for tickets to see something so potentially dangerous was disreputable, but how in the world Darth Bane's ghost was supposed to be working with this man, to tell random people's fortunes seemed - not only extraordinary, but EXTREMELY unlikely.

The famed Jedi Master Yoda himself had banished the deceased Darth Bane's haunting presence, which was extremely malevolent to all comers. Since Darth Bane was not even kind to those of his own faction, it seemed inconceivable that he would simply agree to be a sideshow for all comers.

He would be more likely to ATTACK all comers. How was he supposed to read fortunes anyway?

I smelled a rat.

We tracked Taye down easily enough and found a wrinkled man tending a large, colorful tent.

He was obsiquious and answered our questions readily enough. He let us see the sarcophagus and it definitely LOOKED imposing and radiated a feeling that I assume was the Dark Force. But still . .I didn't see how this could be real.

I walked out to make a transmission to Arrikzane for his expertise, when a robed man walked around the tent.

He froze when he saw me and turned and ran. THAT was pretty suspicious, so I instantly called for my guard to chase him down!

They did and soon caught him (well, he tripped and THEN they caught him) and lo and behold, it was an actor, covered in ghoulish paint! He had been hired to be 'Darth Bane's Ghost!' and had been running a brisk fortune telling trade this way, with the help of some smoke machines and effects.

We were able to catch Traye before he escaped out the back and stopped this sham!

The sarcophagus, though - there is defintiely something about it. I am having it shipped to the Holocron Hall to be assessed. It may not have been Darth Bane's, but I wonder what it was.

All this to say - it's been an exciting week and if you hear of an infamous person who is dead and is giving out advice for 15 credits a pop - perhaps hold onto your money until you research them a little more.
