"The Clone War and Much More"

I have always found the Term 'Clone Wars' to be misleading.

I mean, who would want to clone wars? One is quite enough and would make one long for peace far quicker than anything!

Or, taken another way, are a bunch of clones fighting themselves? That leads to certain existential questions, such as 'ARE they clones at all, if they have conflicting thoughts and feelings?'

But I am being a little facetious with all this, I know.

Many of the tourists who come by the Seat of Government want only two things. To see the famed 'Furry underwear' of the Emperor and to glean all that they can about the Clone Wars.

As to the first thing, that is just a rumour and even if it really IS a gift from former Ambassador Malic, that is a personal article of clothing and not on display.
As for the Clone Wars, they are often disappointed as we don't have very much on the subject.

That is to say, we have gobs of files, holos and information, but less nifty things to look at or touch.

Personally, I prefer it's other name of the Seperatists War. It is also called the Droid War, but I like that as much as the Clone War, as it seems to take sides. Clones VS Droids and it just seems like favoritism.

The one thing I like about the war (if I can say that) was the outcome: An alliance between the Republic and the Hutts.
Of course, it meant something different then, but you get the idea.

Anything that unites us, I am for. (okay, well, when those Kouhan Reformers were trying to take over the Galaxy, that was different! Besides, they were trying to stir up division between us all!)

The point of all this is - if you're coming by Alderaan III for a visit and you're hoping to see some majestic Hall filled with Clone War paraphenalia, you will be disappointed. But you can come and learn what we have learned out of that fiasco.

And if you are coming to see something that may or may not be owned by the Emperor, well - you may just see the Emperor HIMSELF.

It's so good to get out there and DO things and visit places and learn for yourself.

Instead of the Clone War, perhaps you could set up a Galaxy tour with the Navigation team! (or join them yourself - then you'll REALLY know!)
Or you could see what it's like to be a Holojournalist with Chief Transmitter Randall or the famed Cyrene Lilica.

The Holocron Hall is full of mysteries and knowledge and Senator Jayce is quite an adventurer himself and would give you something to think about - perhaps a job! (I'm sure there's no truth to the rumor that there's a Krayt Dragon in the Hall!)

Senator Xanthe assures us that there's nothing to see or worry about in the Operatives area - but maybe you could find out, by looking - or joining them!

So much to see and do - join in and maybe one day YOU will be the legend that everyone talks about!
