"Bespin's Charms"

Normally, I don't feel comfortable advertising people, places or things, in case others think that I am working by commission or something. As Supreme Chancellor of the Galaxy, that would be improper and wrong. However, in this case, no one has asked me to do so and I do it in honor of those needing a respite. 

 

Some planets are approaching a holiday season and it occurred to me that it might be helpful to let people know some of the options available. 

 

Today I am focusing on Bespin. Cloud City in particular. While Cloud CIty is amazing and I will get to that in a moment, the planet itself, on the surface, is covered in gasses, that make it a rather uninviting place. 

 

However, when vacationing there, you stay in Cloud City, where the views are spectacular! (unless you are afraid of heights - then this may not be for you) 

Best known for its casinos, which run a range, but tend to be luxurious, glittering, enjoyable places. 

I am not much of a gambler myself, but I enjoyed learning to play Sabacc and there are many things one can do apart from that. 

 

If you DO like games of chance, then its the place for you! They can be pricey, but Bespin prides itself on being top of the line! 

(ignoring the many stories about the criminal underbelly of the city - I'm sure its exaggerated, but keep your ships locked, just in case)

 

Entertainment is vast there, with talent shows, song and dance, magicians and trained porgs. You name it, it's sure to be there! 

 

Don't get me started on the high quality food! Gourmet often means 'weird and little of it' to me, but in this case, the food is REALLY spectacular. If you can't go to the Vine (our Culinary Master's Restaurant) then you must try Bespin's restaurants. Whether  you go to one of the themed casino restaurants (always a fun time!) or an on-it's-own establishment, you can get delicious food from all over the galaxy and specialties from Bespin itself. 

 

The view, being in the clouds, far over the main Bespin planet itself, are breathtaking and makes one feel that they are flying. Some thrill seekers can find events to do that involve floating out among the clouds, while tethered to a platform, or racing in small ships at high altitudes. 

 

The resorts and inns are so comfortable and cater to many tastes and it's difficult to choose between them! From bright and cheery places with excellent breakfasts, to luxurious, rich esatblishments with incredible room service, you can find it all!

 

Bespin has packed a planet's worth of entertainment into one city and it's amazing! If you are a looking for a place to go and relax, enjoy, bring the whole family, or go by yourself to find adventure (and definitely not to join any underground shenanigans) - than this is the place for you! Not for me, though. I AM leery of heights and the whole place gives me the creeps. Good food, though.
