What do the citizens of our galaxy have to say about their experiences? Let's ask them!
I wanted to hear from some of the people that inhabit the Galaxy, find out more about their thoughts on certain things. So I had my helpful droid, Dr8ke, go out and bring in someone. He found Casimir Garcia of the Jedi Faction.
Though only 11, he had already become fairly well known in the area. I'll just play you the recording of our meeting.
"Welcome, Casimir, to my office! Please have a seat and some water, if you'd like. It is so good of you to agree to give me some of your time today, for this interview. I am speaking with different people of the Galaxy to get their take and opinions and stories on certain things.
Now, you are fairly young, but have already made an impact in this sector of the Galaxy with your interactions with others in the Great Hall.
Can you tell me which planet you originate from and something about that?"
Casimir: "Hello there Tessa! I am from the planet Naboo, which is one of the planets of the Mid Rim Territories. A fun fact about Naboo that I just recently learned is that it is the birthplace of the Dark Lord of the Sith Sheev Palpatine!"
Tessa: "Indeed. Hard to imagine such a beautiful place bringing forth such dark things. It's a great place to vacation, I hear. Now you are a Jedi and I know that many have a Jedi Master that mentors them in the ways of the Force and the Jedi itself. Are you apprenticed to such a person or are you making your way on your own and through the courses here?"
Casimir: "While many of the young Jedi do have mentors like that, I don't quite trust other people enough to be anyone's protege. With enough time, I might come around, but until then, I choose to venture through my classes and the galaxy in general alone."
Tessa: "My goodness. that shows a lot of resiliance, but it must be hard. At the same time, it's good to be sure about someone before placing yourself entirely in their hands like that. I, myself, grew up a Jedi, before I went to Coruscant and studied more. There, I discovered I alligned more with the Galactic Republic in my politics. Sometimes it takes us a while.
In your travels so far, do you have a tip or some advice to anyone who is navigating the planets?"
Casimir: "Yes, I actually do! My advice for literally anyone is never to hesitate to ask for help. If you ask the right people, you can find out what you need to know, and even if they don't know, they can likely point you to someone who does!"
Tessa: "I couldn't agree more! That is very wise. And do you have an idea as to what you are working towards, in life? That is, do you know what you want to do or to become or is that still a ways off?"
Casimir: "I do not, at least not yet. I'm still trying to explore all of my options. I do think I would like to do or achieve something in martial arts, however."
Tessa: "Very good! That takes a lot of discipline, I'm sure. Master Simion is very enthusiastic and has a training center in Cloud City among other places. Finally, would you mind demonstrating something you have learned? Just right there, in front of my desk. It can be using the Force or a Combat move, something from Survival or any of the courses provided. Anything you have picked up. (Just let me duck behind my chair)"
Casimir: "Oooh, sure! Sounds like fun... and yeah, you might want to back up a bit".
Casimir stood up, a slight grin on his face as he used the toe of his shoe to kick his staff up into his hand. It was similar to Tessa's, he realized. He also realized that she had asked for something he had learned in his classes, which meant he didn't need the staff. He set it down and reached for the small ball he kept in his pocket and tossed it up in the air, before using one of the kicks he had learned in Martial Arts to kick it far across the room. He watched with satisfaction as it hit a wall of the room and bounced back, but ducked as it came soaring back past his head.
I let out a sound of amazement as the kick connected and she clapped. "Casimir! That was a wonder-ow!" The ball had bounced off the wall and hit me in the back of the head!
Needless to say, that was the end of the interview, but overall, I sincerely enjoyed my time with Casimir and the medic droids say that I'll be just fine after a cold compress and some soothing tea. I may do this again. After a rest.
I am going to give our theme one more week, as I think you have something up your sleeves - and we hope it's not - you know!
