Greetings from the Galactic side, dear Galaxians!
Have you ever wanted to travel across different planets and have an enjoyable holiday there? However for a matter you have no idea that which planets exist and which don’t? Or you are scared to hire a tour guide who lands you instead in the dangerous part of Hutt Cartel instead of a beautiful planet, where you wanted to Celebrate you Honeymoon?
That’s why, here we are with a new series for you! Planetary Explorations! Here, each week we all would be taking a new planet into focus and with apparent exploring it, at the ending we would decide that how perfect spot it would make for you and whatever reason you wish to visit it for! This week in limelight, we have one of the most Mysterious planet in the galaxy… Dathomir!
Dathomir is located in the Outer Rim territories, with approximately 4 moons . Mostly, the Planet could be told to be famous for it’s exceedingly mesmerizing greenery, however, other than that… it’s completely Matriarchal Environment! (Need a break from your boyfriends and Husbands, Ladies? Here’s the place!) Dathomiri Citizens for a matter of fact prefer to call themselves ”Witches” and for a matter, they are completely divided into particular tribes across, with some being Dreaming River Tribe, River Song Tribe and many others!
However, usually on Dathomir, females have a higher hand in making decision, and are particularily the ones who utilize this ability known as “Magic” which we simpletons prefer to call the “Force”. Women are the ones who are preferrably leading the Tribes, and every decision in a particular tribe is taken by the all-female Tribal Senates. However, for men.. Well, let’s say… the planet isn’t necessarily desirable. More like, an anti-patriachal way of living is practiced.
As a warrior society, the Dathomiri Witches trained daily in the art of war, and used both their muscles and the Force to aid them in combat. They wear their hair in extremely elaborative braids, sometimes with a helmet and also do possess a lizard skin armor. Over time, the Force powers of the Witches came to be largely defined in the form of "spells", where they would chant a set of words, and something in affiliation would happen.
Particularly the use of the dark side; this was often thought of in terms of "night spells", but the punishment was also applied when a sister used anger to fuel an otherwise permissible Force power. If a warrior wished to return to the clan, she had to undergo a period of exile for purification purposes before she would be allowed back, often extending to several years; but some, known as Nightsisters, remained in exile, and these exiles sometimes banded together to form a clan of their own, or occasionally took over an existing clan, although no more than one Nightsister clan is known at any one time, and they were always opposed by the rest of Dathomir. The Nightsisters were a sect of the Witches of Dathomir who embraced the usage of dark arts within their Force-driven Magics. Spooky, right?
The Nightsisters were originally members of a witch clan who began to utilize the dark side to rebel against the usage of the light-sided orthodoxy found in the Book of Law—the governing holy text of the Dathomiri Citizens. These witches adopted a shamanistic culture that rejected the notion of "good" and "evil", and instead chose to call upon the twin energies of the Winged Goddess and the Fanged God in order to utilize their Magicks and communicate with the spirit realm. They focused extensively on the art of casting Force illusions through "illusion spells."
The Witches here lack space technology but off-worlders would visit Dathomir in order to select suitable individuals as assassins or enforcers. Even despite being a member of the New Republic, the Dathomiri would prefer to only accept their Natural lifestyle.
For a matter, Dathomiri can be described as an Orthodoxed sect, which really do not prefer any outsiders if not any work officially. With them being players of Wilderness, they are someone you wouldn’t like to anger.

In the End, we would say that Lovey Dovey couples, no time is the best time to visit this Planet, except if you aren’t already a Citizen and well, plan to send your Progeny for training there. However, if you wish to find worthy companions for Bounty Hunting and Assasination, well, please be our guest! But mainly, this Planet would be for the Ladies who are tired of the male drama and want a little break? (*winks* If you get what I mean).
